Why didn’t Gort take out the people with the weapons first, since that was his job on the other planet ? Why would any alien allow themselves to be taken in the same hands that got them hurt in the first place. He had diamonds, so why didn’t he go and get some money for it and stay in a Hotel that would not have all of those old busy bodies getting into his business? If he traveled that far away why didn’t he have creature comforts needed for such a journey.
